Subject: Adanac Ski Hill Protocols

Hello John

In the interest of ensuring a positive experience for all participants, coaches and staff, could you please share the following with your membership..

Skiing Out of Bounds and on Closed Trails: Recently there have been issues with some of your members skiing on closed runs or in out of boundsareas. As this can pose a risk to the person in these areas as well as anyone who may have to go and retrieve these individuals should they become injured, I ask that you make all of your members aware that ski patrol and CGS staff do have the right to revoke hill privileges/access to the chair lift to any members not staying inbounds. Please remind your members and coaches that they are only to ski on open trails and are to follow the Alpine Responsibility Code at all times. https://www.skipatrol.ca/safety-injury-prevention/responsibility-codes/

Rowdy behavior: While I appreciate there have been some phenomenal conditions and your members have been very excited about the skiing, there was an occurrence last Tuesday evening where some of your younger members were hitting one of our sow machines with their poles with some exuberance. Please ask that your members be respectful of CGS property at all times and refrain from such activities.

Chalet Cleaning: The chalet should be left in the same conditions at the end of each night as it was at the start of the evening. We do have cleaning staff scheduled to come in after the club night, but this is strictly to vacuum and clean washrooms. Please ask your members to pick up any items/garbage left on the floor, benches and tables at the end of every training night. Any additional cleaning time may result in additional costs to the ski club.

Your cooperation in these matters is greatly appreciated.

~Kevin
